The Role
As our Restaurant Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our busy winery restaurant, ensuring every guest enjoys world-class service. You will work closely with the kitchen, events, and cellar teams to create a seamless experience that highlights our wines and locally sourced, seasonal menu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the restaurant’s front-of-house operations.
- Lead, train, and inspire a dynamic team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and winery teams to ensure smooth service and showcase pairings.
- Oversee bookings, floor plans, and customer experience during peak periods.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, compliance, and workplace safety.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgets, labour costs, and stock management.
- Support marketing efforts for special events, wine dinners, and seasonal promotions.
About You:
- Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in a winery, fine dining, or regional setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team development.
- A passion for wine and food, with strong knowledge of wine pairings and service.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Experience with POS systems, reservations platforms, and financial reporting.
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification is mandatory.
