Restaurant Manager (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Zonzo Estate is a multi award winning venue, set on 300 stunning acres in the heart of the Yarra Valley and operates as a winery, restaurant and wedding venue. 

We are currently seeking a reliable & dedicated Restaurant Manager to join our team. 

This role is suited to someone with extensive hospitality/management skills who has a genuine passion for the hospitality and events industry and is looking to join a dedicated, award winning team in a beautiful location. 

The ideal candidate is personable, highly motivated, takes responsibility and shows great initiative. 

This role involves overseeing the running of the Restaurant and events held at Zonzo Estate, in Yarra Glen, Victoria.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

• Working closely with other members of the management team to ensure the smooth running of Restaurant service and functions/events. 
• Overseeing that all tasks for Restaurant/Functions are completed to a high standard. 
• Working closely with other departments to coordinate daily operations. 
• Looking after patrons to an extremely high standard. 
• Adequately delegating any appropriate tasks to other employees with regard to the set up, running and pack down of wedding events and all other functions and restaurant service.
• Ensuring all weddings and functions are run to a very high standard. 
• Overseeing the mentoring/training and development of staff.
• Greeting clients and suppliers.
• Assisting the kitchen with putting delivery of stock away when needed. 
• Stock Management, rostering, creating task lists and general administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant and events. 
• Occasionally you may be required to conduct site visits for potential weddings/functions when Wedding/Functions Coordinators are unavailable.
• This is a full time position, with weekend work and nights required. 

We are seeking someone with the following skills and experience: 

• Previous hospitality and management experience is required. 
• Previous experience running/working events and functions is required. 
• Sales skills will also be looked upon favourably in the occasion you are required to assist with site inspections for weddings and funcitons. 
• Excellent communication skills. 
• Someone that is capable of working autonomously to get things done, but can also work as part of a team and delegate tasks to other staff. 
• A current RSA 
• Capable of working in a fast paced environment and under pressure. 
• Ability to multitask. 
• Is a people person, and loves providing excellent customer service.
• Someone that has excellent problem solving skills.
