The Venue
Our store is an independent boutique wine store located in the busy Terrigal shopping precinct on the Central Coast. The shop offers an exciting and extensive range of Australian and imported wines, plus an outstanding range of craft beer and artisan spirits. We pride ourselves on our customer service and engagement with our local community.
The Role
Working with and reporting to the Manager, this is your chance to grow your skills in wine retailing and be part of a great team. Ideally you will have some retail experience in wine / liquor but most importantly a desire to learn on the job and a great work ethic. Your role will be all-encompassing, supporting the manager to carry out delegated tasks. You'll be involved in the day-to-day running of the shop - tasks including but not limited to - stock processing, store presentation, deliveries and serving our customers.
The role is best suited to a hospitality professional looking to supplement there existing employment, a ‘passionate-about-wine’ student or all round beverage enthusiast!
To be successful you will need:
- Some flexibility to work around a 7 day roster
- To be able to work autonomously;
- Excellent communication skills, a high degree of personal presentation and great work ethic;
- Ability to carry out some physical tasks (lifting, deliveries)
- Basic computer literacy and be able to use POS systems;
- Some wine and spirits knowledge, but we can teach you!
- Current RSA and drivers licence mandatory
