About the role:
Role Purpose:
We are seeking passionate and adaptive Food & Beverage Attendants and a Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the five-story food and beverage precinct serving both internal and external guests of the five-star Porter House Hotel, Sydney.
Based in the same historical building, your role will vary depending on roster availability, requiring flexibility to work across both spaces. If you have a love for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a passion for wine, this is the perfect opportunity to thrive in a high-quality hospitality environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding service to guests in the restaurant and/or café, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including pairing wine with meals.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Process orders accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly with professionalism.
- Collaborate with the team to adapt to varying roles, from barista tasks to fine dining service, based on roster assignments.
About you:
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Comfortable working in both café and restaurant environments as required by the roster.
- Experience in Hospitality: Prior experience in hotels or high-end restaurants is advantageous but not essential.
- Passion for Wine: A genuine interest in and knowledge of wine, with the ability (or willingness to learn) to confidently discuss and recommend selections to guests.
- Customer Focus: A strong commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
- Professional Presentation: Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
- Availability: Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and evenings, based on operational needs.
