Sandalford Wines is one of the most outstanding wine brands in Western Australia. 

Established in 1840, Sandalford’s vineyards and winery are part of the family-owned Prendiville Group (prendiville.com.au) Situated at Swan Valley, 25 minutes from Perth’s CBD, Sandalford Wines delights visitors with world class wine and tourism experiences at its restaurant, function and banqueting division, cellar door and concert operations.

Attracting both domestic and international visitors, Sandalford’s estate offers multi-lingual winery tours on suspended walkways and extensive cellar door tasting experiences to complement their world class, award-winning cuisine, restaurant and event experiences.

We currently have an opening for a full time Wine Club Manager to join our award-winning team.   

THE ROLE

This is for you if you’re super passionate about wine and want to be the face of Sandalford for our member engagement.  You’ll also be a great administrator and have incredible marketing skills to grow this unit of our business into a multi-million dollar turnover!  You’ll work both independently and with our senior team – especially with our fantastic Cellar Door Manager, reporting ultimately to our CEO.  And you’ll be great at engaging with our sister hotel properties and their clientele providing a bridge into Sandalford.

This hands-on position is responsible for looking after our current and future wine club members and exceeding their expectations. You will be curating exclusive wine experiences, consistently delivering a high-level customer experience and imparting your passion for fine wine.

If you are a wine lover then you will feel at home in a team who are genuinely passionate about enjoying wine, surrounded by our vines and a panorama of green on the estate, you will get to observe the end-to-end process of a quality product driven by a dedicated team because it all happens here. 

This is more than just a wine sales role, we have a clear focus on quality, standards and reputation, and in this role you will be a brand ambassador, promoting and planning events, collaborating with other partners and executing strategic marketing plans. 

You will only have to step into the cellar door and meet the team there to understand how much passion our staff have, not forgetting the hospitality professionals, our beautiful event spaces, the ambience of our restaurant and the devotion to high level customer service, it is only too easy to starting thinking of the wonderful events that could be held for our wine club members. 

To ensure ongoing loyalty and building trust with our members is a key part of this position. You might not have used the Ezy system or the Wineclub direct platform before however understanding and learning the software applications plays a big part to the success of the candidate, ensuring the database is managed correctly, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail, orders are invoiced timely and precisely, as well as management of the monthly revenue targets and results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans
  • Management of the customer database
  • Plan, manage and execute phone, email and mailed sales campaigns 
  • Manage the general enquiries, phone and email correspondence in a timely manner to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Plan, promote and deliver bespoke events to our wine club members
  • Develop new ideas to engage and encourage positive relationships with club members through special offers and promotions
  • Partner with the winemakers on new releases
  • Help identify methods to recruit new wine club members and maximising exposure to the guests at the Cellar Door and Sandalford Estate. 
  • Oversee the processing of wine orders/wine shipments in line with campaigns
  • Update the online store with new release wines, sale specials, promotions and inventory
  • Representation at industry events and seeking opportunities to increase awareness of the wine club with partners and businesses.

ABOUT YOU

  • Business minded with proven sales experience with the ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to create first-class customer relationships.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook and competent in computer operating systems software. 
  • Proven time management skills to plan and prioritise for success with high attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Wine Industry experience (highly regarded) or must have knowledge of wine of and varietals.
  • Hospitality and event coordination experience with the ability to guide and host small groups at an elite level.
  • RSA Certificate.
  • Australian Drivers license and Police Clearance Certificate (issued within the last 6 months).
  • Full Australian working rights required.
