Job Summary: The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our restaurant operations, ensuring a superior guest experience through impeccable service standards. This role demands a hospitality professional who excels in training, mentoring, and developing staff to deliver exceptional service and maintain our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to maximise profitability.
Customer Service:
- Provide outstanding customer service, handling guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly and professionally.
- Foster a welcoming and hospitable environment, ensuring all guests feel valued and appreciated.
Staff Management and Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor restaurant staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance staff skills and service standards.
Leadership:
- Lead by example, setting high standards for professional behaviour and work ethic.
- Motivate and inspire the team to achieve and exceed performance goals.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Financial Management:
- Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve financial targets and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, identifying areas for improvement.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in a high-volume establishment.
- Exceptional old-school hospitality skills, with a genuine passion for guest service.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in training and staff development.
- Solid understanding of financial management and cost control.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
