The Location
Surrounded by lush tropical gardens and sparkling blue lagoons, Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Gold Coast offers over 295 guest rooms and suites, award winning restaurants and bars and over 14 conference and meeting spaces, all in an absolute beachfront environment.
The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the service of food and beverage in hotel venues.
- The position oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies and ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives.
- Oversees guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining standards and meeting or exceeding financial goals. Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency of all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations.
- Develops and implements business plan for food and beverage to grow revenues and maximize the financial performance of the department.
- Responsible for obtaining maximum efficiency and promote teamwork between all Associates.
- Observe and enforce objectives, policies, standards and procedures and oversee all duties in these venues.
The Food and Beverage Manager will be required to conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel's policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.
What we are looking for
- A team player to ensures that regular, on-going communication occurs in all areas of food and beverage (e.g., pre-meal briefings, staff meetings).
- A leader to foster an atmosphere in all food and beverage areas that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
- A passionate leader that sets expectations and holds the food and beverage leadership team accountable for demonstrating desired service behaviors.
- Previous experience with estimating food, liquor, wine and other beverage consumption in order to anticipate amounts to be purchased or requisitioned.
- Effective feedback to employees so they receive on-going training to understand guest expectations.
- A team player to sets goals and expectations for direct reports using the performance review process and holds staff accountable for successful performance.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with other departments to improve the productivity of the hotel and enhance the Guests' experience
- A team player and hands-on leader with the ability to motive, engage and inspire a large team
- A focus on fostering a strong company culture and values
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
- Previous experience with MICROS would be advantageous
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekend and holiday periods
