Based in the Tamar Valley of Tasmania be involved in making Tamar Ridge, Pirie Sparkling and Devil’s Corner wines with company owned vineyards located on the East Coast and Tamar Valley we also source grapes from all regions of Tasmania.
What You Will Be Doing: Reporting to the Senior Winemaker and working alongside a dedicated team, your primary responsibility will be to perform a variety of cellar procedures and operate equipment in accordance with wine handling guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be able to demonstrate a mechanical aptitude (experience/knowledge in the use of mechanical/winery equipment).
- Vintage experience.
- An understanding of cellar procedures and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and work without direct supervision.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Forklift License (preferred).
About You:
The key to success will be your positive and proactive contribution to the team, excellent attention to detail, good hygiene, reliability, integrity and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Previous experience in a winery will be an advantage, and supervisory skills/experience would be highly regarded.
