For three generations the Taylor family have crafted great Australian wines in the Clare Valley, South Australia. We understand that truly great wines are made in the vineyard and that the art of fine winemaking is to respect and capture the essence of the vineyard site and to highlight the unique varietal expression of each grape variety.
The Role:
Based at the Auburn Winery and as part of a Cellar Door restructure, we have an exciting new opportunity for an energetic and vibrant person to lead our Cellar Door team. Reporting to the General Manager of Winery Operations, the Cellar Door Operations Manager will oversee the various functions of Cellar Door Operations ensuring our visitors have a friendly and positive experience to share with their friends and family. In this role, you will be responsible for
- Overseeing the various Cellar Door Sales functions, ensuring delivery of the highest quality visitor experience so that Cellar Door visitors leave with a connection to the Taylors family brand and wines.
- Inventory and stock control management and
- Event management & coordination
What you bring to the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a positive, proactive and results orientated Manager who has experience, commitment, and success in leading, motivating, and inspiring teams within the hospitality industry. To excel in this role, you will have the following key competencies –
- Experience in Hospitality/Customer Service and Event Management.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation.
- Solid business acumen with proven record of achieving results.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to deliver respectful and friendly communication, whilst taking a collaborative approach for positive outcomes.
- A desire to take on new opportunities as well as difficult challenges or conversations with a sense of urgency, energy, and enthusiasm.
- High level attention to detail, time management and logistical planning skills.
- Work in a manner that is conducive and compliant with all WHS & Food Safety practices, company policies and procedures.
- The flexibility and adaptability to work over a 7-day roster/period and assist team members as required.

Other key skills and experience include:
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite is highly regarded.
- Certified Trainer & Assessor
- Wine appreciation qualifications (e.g. WSET) highly desired but not essential
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
