Head of Finance - Wine
You will be a commercial leader partnering with the Pinnacle Drinks Leadership Team supporting Pinnacle & Endeavour with expanding the business. With a growth and strategic mindset you will drive business performance through effective leadership and actionable insights. You will sit on the Wine Leadership team and provide strategic finance support to the leaders of the business across numerous sites in Australia and NZ.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Providing strategic recommendations in-line with strategy to the Wine Leadership team (including strategic insights for the operational assets across Pinnacle Wine)
- Partner with key stakeholders on the feasibility of strategic projects and acquisitions, including preparation of financial analysis / modelling and business cases
- Partner with the wine leadership team to operationalise Return on Funds Employed (ROFE) growth through commercial decision making
- Deliver reporting and KPI’s across the Wine business including ROFE for investments to inform future decision making
- Proactively deliver insightful analysis and commercial recommendations to the business
- Proactively develop, manage, agree and communicate business budgets and forecasts (including standard cost setting), and any other strategic planning requirements (i.e. 3-5 year plan)
- Ensure robust frameworks are in place for all commercial reporting, ensuring messaging is actionable and insightful.
- Play a leadership role in positioning the finance team as a strategic business partner by driving a focus on delivering value-adding insight and analytics leveraging digital tools, and removing or automating redundant activity.
Qualifications
Now let’s talk about you:
- 15 years+ experience, including extensive Commercial Finance experience
- Qualified accountant (CA/CPA)
- A strong understanding of manufacturing or production is critical
- Demonstrated experience in running a Commercial Finance function responsible for partnering with Senior Leaders to deliver on strategic objectives
- Experience in developing and reviewing investment proposals / business cases for complex programs of work, projects and M&A proposals (including benefits track
- Advanced leadership, coaching, mentoring and development skills
- Advanced time management skills
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
- Wine industry experience (Desirable)
