About the business and the role
Located in Woodside, in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, Bird in Hand is a premium Australian winery pursuing the goal of being the pinnacle of wine, food, artistic experiences and design. Much more than a winery, we produce quality wines as well as host a range of bespoke events locally, interstate and across the globe.
We are seeking an experienced Cellar Door Staff member who is energetic, results orientated, and thrives working with people.
Additionally, the role requires:
- A genuine love of wine, food and meeting new people
- Conducting warm, welcoming and specialised cellar door experiences
- Experience with POS systems and social media
- Great organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise and coordinate
- A commitment to quality and an eye for detail
Key attributes:
- Proven expertise in cellar door sales essential
- Previous events and functions experience an advantage
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team and to adapt to changing work priorities in a fast-paced organisation
- Demonstrated understanding of work, health and safety responsibilities
- WSET Level 2 minimum
The position will require working working across week days and weekends, public holidays and school holidays (with the option to have 2-3 days off each week).
