The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join our passionate and hardworking team.
As a Sous Chef at Longview you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen operations.
You will be contributing to the smooth delivery of weddings and functions along with cooking delectable dishes in our cellar door.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a stunning environment where you will be an integral part of our culinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning, development, and execution.
- Oversee and manage kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards.
- Take a hands-on approach in the preparation and cooking of dishes, leading by example.
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen.
- Assist in the coordination of weddings, wine dinners, corporate functions and cellar door service.
Qualifications:
- Culinary Certificate or equivalent experience in a premium restaurant/kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients.
- Excellent leadership and strong communication skills.
- Passion for delivering exceptional food experiences and a keen interest in wine.
