About the role
Seeking a talented and experienced Bar Manager to join the dynamic team at the D'Aguilar Hotel. As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's bar operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving profitability. This full-time role is based in D'Aguilar, Queensland.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar, including scheduling staff, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory
- Develop and implement strategies to increase bar revenue and profitability
- Train and mentor bar staff to deliver outstanding customer service
- Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing and safety regulations
- Manage the bar budget and monitor financial performance
- Collaborate with the wider hotel management team to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve bar operations
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Proven track record of managing a successful bar operation, including staff supervision, inventory control, and financial management
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Thorough understanding of bar operations, including liquor licensing, responsible service of alcohol, and occupational health and safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
